I have argued before that using Photoshop isn't necessarily cheating. Photographers have edited pictures in darkrooms since the late 19th century, typically to adjust the amount of light in a specific area of a picture or to increase the contrast between the lightest and darkest parts of the image. Speaking of photo contests (see previous post), the Town of Colonie's William K. Sanford Public Library is sponsoring a photo contest for town residents. Locals can submit up to three prints, with no application fee. The contest is open to AMATEUR photographers, shooting either black-and-white or color pictures.
